Abstract
430,040. Earthing-devices. LONDON ELECTRIC WIRE CO. & SMITHS, Ltd., and WILDY, E. L., 7, Playhouse Yard, Golden Lane, London. Jan. 11, 1934, No. 1119. [Classes 36 and 38 (i)] An earthing - device comprises a metal rod having three or more longitudinal ribs to which electrical connection is made by a member having a large area of contact with two or more of the ribs and which is adapted to receive and locate the wire to be earthed. In the construction shown, connection to a rod of cruciform section is effected by a triangular metal block f which is soldered between two of the ribs a of the rod. The wire to be earthed is inserted in an aperture h in the rod and is clamped by a screw i. In a modified construction, the wire is soldered in the aperture h.
