Abstract

382,502. Electric lamp-holders. HOMBERGER, E., 36, Gerard Road, Harrow, Middlesex. Feb. 13, 1932, No. 4349. [Class 39 (ii).] Spring contacts particularly for use in the porcelain body 11 of an electric lamp-holder comprise solid plungers 12, 13, each having a threaded end portion 18 connected to a terminal head 14 by a reduced intermediate portion 19 which is surrounded by a spring 21. The spring 21 is adapted to urge the plunger forward by bearing at one end on a flange formed on the porcelain body, the other end of the spring engaging a nut 20 which is screwed on and beyond the threaded portion 18 of the plunger so as to find a seating around the reduced portion 19. The terminal head 14 is formed with a bore 17 in which the lead to the contact is clamped by a screw 16.
