Abstract

[Class 38 (i)] A terminal surrounded by an insulating sleeve movable against spring pressure to bring apertures in the sleeve and terminal into register to receive a wire, has the central conducting stem at all times shielded by the sleeve alone or the sleeve and an insulating cup co-operating therewith. As shown, insulating sleeve 12 is depressed to register the apertures 19 therein with that (20) in the pillar 15 for the insertion of the leads, the pillar being screwed into a cup 11 secured to a panel 23 by a nut 24. The pillar terminates in a stud contact 18 for engagement by a crocodile clip.
