Abstract

429,901. Suspensory bandages. AMENDOLA, J. V., 1313, 63rd Street, Kenosha, Wisconsin, U.S.A. Feb. 15, 1935, No. 4932. [Class 81 (ii)] A suspensory bandage comprises a waistband 5, a pouch 7 connected to the front of the waistband, leg straps 8, 9 connected to the rear end of the pouch and to the waistband on opposite sides of the pouch, and a front strap 12 secured to the waistband directly at the points of connection of the leg straps. The waistband, preferably of elastic webbing, is adjustable by a buckle 6, and the leg strap 8, 9 by buckles 10, 11, one of which may be carried by the crossbar of the buckle 6. The two halves of the front strap 12, which are adjustably connected by a buckle 15, may be carried by parts of the buckles 10, 11, or attached to the waistband at the same points, so that the tension of the leg straps is transferred directly to the front-strap.
