Abstract

409,056. Catamenial appliances. PECKNOLD, C. E., 1138, Nelson Street, Vancouver, Canada. Nov. 22, 1932, No. 32967. [Class 81 (ii).] A sanitary girdle of flexible elastic material such as rubber, comprises a continuous one piece structure having a belt portion A from which depends a pelvis shield B, shaped to fit the figure, a continuation of the shield in the form of a pouch C at the rear of which is a buttock shield E diverging to a pair of buttock straps F and F<1> which are attached to the waistband. The pouch C is cast to fit the crotch and has an aperture D and flanges G<1> ... G<4> to accommodate and retain suitable absorbent material. The belt may be moulded or cast in the form shown in Fig. 1 or may be moulded in a plane as in Fig. 3, the ends of the waistband being joined and the buttock straps attached by cementing, vulcanizing, &c. to form a one-piece structure.
