427,149. Vehicle wheels. CORNERCROFT, Ltd., Queen Victoria Road, RYCROFT, N.,6, St.Patrick's Road, and CORNER, J. A., Fairfield, Earlsdon Avenue, all in Coventry. June 9, 1934, No. 17131. [Class 144 (i)] In a wheel having an extension of the valve-stem to permit inflation of the tyre without removing a spoke-covering disc, the valve-extension is anchored, against creeping, in the mounting element of the disc or on the spokes or hub of the wheel. In the form shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the free end a<2> of the valve-extension a engages a slotted lug c<1> in the collar c against which the spoke-covering- disc d is clamped. Figs. 5 and 6 show modifications in which the valve-extension is positioned by plates f clamped to the wheel spokes e. Fig. 12 shows a further modification in which the valve-extension is passed through apertures h', h<2> in the wheel-hub. In all cases, the projecting end of the valve-extension may be fitted with an auxiliary valve.
