[Class 75 (iii)] The wick d is disposed horizontally and the wick cap p is secured by means of a spring wire frame q to a slidable carrier o pivoted at n to an arm m secured to a spring-actuated frictionwheel l freely mounted on a shaft k. Ignition is effected by moving a pivoted spring-controlled detent s so as to release the friction-wheel, and the igniter is re-set by pressing inwardly the carrier o. The wick cap is withdrawn substantially longitudinally from the wick, the friction-wheel being recessed to accommodate the cap when retracted. A plate u on the carrier o normally closes an aperture in a cover t. As shown, the igniter is embodied in a stand formed in the shape of an animal's hoof.
