[Class 52 (v)] [See also Groups XXV and XXXVI] A clamp for the attachment to a girder 5 of a plate 12 having means for supporting pipes, electric cables, lamps, insulators, &c. consists of one plate 3 integral with or fixed to the plate 12 and having a lip 4 to engage the girder 5, and a second plate 8 passing through a slot 6 in the plate 3 and having a lip 9 to engage the girder, the clamp being tightened by a wedge 10, e.g. a tram nail, passed through a slot 11 in the plate 8. The end 7 of the plate 8 may be bent or burred over to prevent separation of the plates 3, 8. In a modification, the plate 3 passes through a slot in the plate 8.
