Abstract

424,029. Sifting-apparatus. PASCALL, F., 156, Charing Cross Road, London. Jan. 10, 1934, No. 978. [Class 117] The screens of sifting, bolting, &c. apparatus are mounted in frames comprising a number of sections which are resiliently connected together to enable them to be easily sprung into position on the apparatus to which they are fitted. In the embodiment shown in Figs. 1 and 3, a curved frame consists of two end members a, b, each comprising two bars c, d, side members i and stay members k. The edges of the screen cloth are clamped between the members c, d, by screws e, and the side bars i may be also formed of superposed bars clamped over the sides of the cloth by screws j. The members a, b, are divided at their centre as shown at f, and the sections of one or both are connected by plate springs g secured by rivets h.
