Abstract
424,026. Spray-producers. LAVODOR, Ltd., 43, Westgate, Huddersfield, and ATKINSON, J. W., 2, Hesketh Place, Lightcliffe, Yorkshire. Nov. 30, 1933, No. 33532. [Class 69 (iii)] Disinfectants are sprayed into a room on the opening or closing of a door by causing the door to raise, against the action of a spring e, a piston d which, on its release, forces air into a container i to expel liquid through a tube j, a jet of air being g simultaneously ejected at i<2> to atomize the liquid. The piston d is connected to a bent lever h, h<1> pivoted on a bracket carried by the door and engaged by a tappet m hinged to an adjustable arm k carried by the door frame. As the door is opened the arm h<1> swings the tappet out of the way, but on closing, a stop k<1> prevents the tappet m from turning and the lever h is turned raising the piston d until the arm h<1> clears the tappet when the spring e forces the piston down. The members may be reversed, the sprayer being carried by the door frame and the arm k with its tappet m by the door.
