[Class 63] A waterproof head covering, e.g. a bathing cap, shaped to the head consists of an outer slightly extensible or inextensible textile layer and an inner rubber layer, and is provided with an elastic part at a suitable place or places to facilitate the application and removal of the head covering. The elastic part is provided, preferably, at the nape of the neck, and is obtained either by leaving the head covering free from textile material at the part required, or by cutting out a piece of the inextensible material and inserting a rubber strip of corresponding size, free from textile material. The head covering may be lined with textile material.
