Abstract

422,803. Heating water by electricity. GOORD, F., and ELLIOT, A. E., 2, Crossfield Road, Hampstead, London. Sept. 6, 1933, No. 24635. [Class 39 (iii)] An electric waterheater comprises a container 1 provided with a spirally grooved former 6 carrying a bare heating resistance 8, and also provided with a water inlet 11 and an earthed discharge spout 13. The container is made in two parts with a screwed joint 1<a>. The former 6 is supported on a rod 4 provided with vibration reducing packing 7. The earth connection is made to a terminal 16 connected to the spout 13 by a band 15.
