Abstract
422,585. Inductances. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, TURNER, H. C., and POLGREEN, G. R., Peel Works, Silk Street, Salford. Sept. 28, 1933, No. 26726. [Class 37] A variable inductance comprises a core 1 of magnetic particles mounted between end-plates 5, 5<1> of insulating material carrying a winding 7, the core and winding being rotatable with respect to a fixed winding 8, both windings lying in planes parallel to the axis of rotation and having cross-sections forming portions of circles centred on the rotational axis. The windings 7, 8 may each be divided into portions containing different numbers of turns. The frame 3 may be of magnetic material forming part of the external magnetic circuit. Specifications 213,281, [Class 37], and 412,667 are referred to.
