Abstract

420,504. Washing-machines. DEAN, W., Victoria Works, Accrington Road, Burnley. Sept. 18, 1934, No. 26845. [Class 138 (ii)] In a washing-machine of the type comprising two receptacles mounted side by side within a unitary casing, a single cover 5, in which a rotary agitator shaft is journalled, is provided interchangeably to engage either receptacle so that either receptacle may function as the washer and the other be left open. A wringer 12 is pivotally mounted between the receptacles and, when not in use, a cover 10 may be lowered over the casing.
