419,943. Kerbs and drainage channels. AHRENS, H., Riegelsberg, Landkreis, Saarbrucken, Germany. May 16, 1933, No. 14211. [Class 107.] A precast combined kerb and gutter block is so dimensioned that a line A-B, Fig. 1, inclined at 45‹ to the base 14 and tangential to the radiused junction 16 of the kerb face 11 and gutter surface 12, passes through the top rear and bottom front corners of the block, as shown. The exposed surfaces of the block may be weatherproofed by a layer 20, Fig. 2, of high-quality cement, the edges 21, 22 of which are of about twice the thickness of the remainder. Vertical tapered grouting grooves may be formed in the ends of the blocks.
