Abstract
<PICT:0418768/III/1> A covering for insulating and protecting the containers and other parts of batteries consists of a seamless rubber coating made from a latex mixture containing zinc carbonate and waterglass which is applied to the surface to be coated by dipping, spraying or painting. Fig. 3 shows a battery in which the terminal screw e and lug d are provided with the above coating. A rubber ring g prevents creeping of electrolyte. Fig. 4 shows a cable socket or terminal, the outer surface i of which is coated with the mixture. Specification 399,394 is referred to.
