Abstract
418,687. Radiators for heating buildings. AUSTEN, F. H., 66, Carisbrooke Road, Leicester, and SWAIN, W. L., 89, Princes Park Avenue, Golders Green, London. May 23, 1933, No. 14906. [Class 64 (ii).] Radiators for heating rooms of the type comprising radiating sectional panels 1 integral with fluid ways 3, 4, formed as tubular passages or as loop-ways, on the rear of the panels, are provided with extension plates 9 integral with horizontal fluid ways 10, 11 which are aligned with corresponding fluid passages 5, 6 in the adjacent panels. The extension plates are connected to the panels by threaded nipples screwed into the passages 5, 6 of the panels and the corresponding passages 10, 11 of the plates, thus maintaining the connections at the temperature of the panels, whilst the main parts of the plates are unheated. An inlet pipe 12 is attached to a passage way 11, which may also be provided with a control valve 13.
