417,740. Photographic printing - apparatus. DURKOPP WERKE AKT.- GES., 2, Nikolaus.D³rkoppstrasse, Bielefeld, Germany. Nov. 22, 1933, No. 32612. Convention date, Nov. 22, 1932. [Class 98 (i).] Apparatus for measuring the density of and printing photographic negatives is characterized in that the negative itself serves as one of two comparison fields needed for the measuring of the opacity and exposure time for printing, without bringing the light, passing through a certain limited portion of the negative, through an additional screen. As shown, the apparatus comprises a casing a, a printing lamp b, a glass sheet c on which is fixed the negative d and a movable lamp e with comparison field f placed by hand on the negative. The lamp e has a casing h, i underneath which is a mirror l. A shield m for the mirror l may be provided. One comparison lamp e may be used for several printing apparatus.
