Abstract
416,210. Hand - cranks. ACME WRINGERS, Ltd., and BURT, J. W., 85, David Street, Bridgeton, Glasgow. Nov. 17, 1933, No. 32054. [Class 136 (ii).] A reversible crank handle for a wringer comprises an angle bracket 2, one limb 3 of which is secured to the operating- spindle 1 of the wringer, as by a tapered pin 14, and the other limb 4 of which is engaged by the inner end portion 5 of the crank 6, which is adapted to be turned in the limb 4 and fixed so that the operating-handle 13 is either in the out-turned operative position or in an inturned position. The crank is retained in either position by the engagement of grooves 11 in an integral flange 12 with ridges 10 on the limb 4 ; or a peg-and-socket engagement may be employed. The screw-threaded extremity 7 of the crank is fitted with a wing-nut 8 abutting against the upper face of the limb 4.
