Abstract
416,207. Boots &c. EHRLICH, L., 41, Sulzbacherstrasse, Nuremberg, Germany. Nov. 9, 1933, Nos. 31294, 31295, and 31296. Convention dates, Nov. 9, 1932, Feb. 17, 1933, and March 4, 1933. [Class 17 (ii).] A boot, particularly for sporting purposes especially for ski-ing, has a watertight closure for the upper consisting of two overlapping flaps c, d, Fig. 6, on the leg portion which are fastened together, the strap c<1> on the inner flap c being at its root of the full width of the flap and passing between the lining h and upper a through a slot h<1> of suitable width and out through a slot i to the outside of the upper to be secured to the flap d. An additional and independent securing strap passing over the instep may connect the outer flap to the heel. A felt insertion g may be tightened around the leg closure of the boot. Fig. 11 shows a similar but modified construction wherein the closure flaps c<2>, d<1> are at the front of the boot and additional independent straps l<2>, l<8> engage buckles m<11>, m on the outer flap d<1>.
