Abstract

415,813. Turbine rotors. LYSHOLM, A., 11, Karlaplan, Stockholm. March 8, 1933, No. 7065. [Class 110 (iii).] In manufacturing turbine rotors, the initial creeping which would occur on the rotor being put into use is brought about artificially in the rotors prior to their being built into the turbine. The rotors are subjected in a furnace to temperatures and centrifugal or other tensions corresponding to the operating conditions in the turbine. The rotors may be subjected to this treatment before being bladed, and reheated after blading, or they may be treated when fully bladed. After treatment the rotor is machined.
