Abstract
414,608. Discharge lamps. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. March 10, 1934, No. 7674. Convention date, April 4, 1933. [Class 39 (i).] An electric discharge tube containing a rare gas and vapour of one or more volatile metals such as sodium potassium, rubidium, cadmium, magnesium, thallium or zinc, the vapour pressure of which at 200 C. is only a fraction of one millimetre, is formed of straight parts 1, 2 connected by a curved part of less cross-section than the straight parts ; it may be at least 10 per cent smaller. The temperature of the tube is equalized by this construction.
