Abstract

414,120. Impulse transmitters. TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L. M. ERICSSON, 33, Kungsgatan, and LIENZEN, D. L., 20, Tomtebogatan, both in Stockholm. Jan. 30, 1933, No. 2906. [Class 40 (iv).] In an impulse sender in which separate oneway couplings between the main shaft 2 and the governor and the impulse wheel 35 are carried by a common shaft 17, the coupling with the impulse wheel comprises springy pawl members 36, 37 secured on opposite sides of the impulse wheel. When the finger-hold plate 14 is rotated the helical spring clutch 26 allows the shaft 17 to rotate without driving the worm wheel 21 geared to the governor. The impulse wheel may move slightly initially but is afterwards held by engagement of the pawl member 37 with one of the slots 39 in the fixed framework. When the finger-hold plate is released the other pawl member engages one of the slots 32 in a member 31 carried by the driving shaft. The driving spring 5 engages at one end a slotted enlargement of the head of the screw 8 for bolting the finger hold plate to the main shaft and at the other a member 11 provided with claws 51 for engaging the spring and with members 50 for engaging the bridge 4 forming the main part of the framework. This arrangement enables the spring tension to be adjusted from either end. The bridge 4 is secured to the front plate 3 by screws 52 which also hold the finger stop and a screw 53 which is out of range of the finger of the person dialling. Off-normal springs 46 are controlled by a stud 47 on the driving wheel 15.
