Abstract

1,131,395. Positive clutches. J. E. KASTEN. 2 Feb., 1966, No.4584/66. Heading F2C. In a key clutch for a crop delivery wagon wherein a segmental clutch key 29 carried by a driven disc 27 is rotated to engage recesses 37 in a driving disc 25, a plate 31 fast with the clutch key 29 has similar cam surfaces 69, 71 on opposite sides so that when the plate 31 engages a stop 87 the clutch is disengaged irrespective of the direction of rotation. The clutch is engaged by rotating the key 29 manually and a ball detent 51 holds the key in the clutch engaged position. The stop 87 is normally moved by a spring 86 to a position clear of the plate 31 and is moved into the path of the plate 31 by pulling a cord-91. When the clutch is disengaged the plate occupies the position shown in Fig. 3 and is clear of the stop 87.
