Abstract

891,893. Impulse transmitters. AUTOMATIC TELEPHONE & ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. March 29, 1960 [June 13, 1959], No. 20298/59. Class 40 (4). Tongues 14, 15 normally lie between projections 28 on off-normal spring sets A and B of an impulse transmitter, the tongues moving out from between the projections allowing the spring sets to operate when the transmitter is moved off-normal. The tongues 14, 15 depend from an arm 12 on a nylon bush 11 which is self-threaded on to the end 10 of the finger plate shaft. A spring 16 locks the bush. Each blade of the spring sets is as shown in Fig. 3 with the projection 28 forming part of a corrugation across the blade to provide a wedge entry for the tongues and to give stiffness. As the tongue 15 moves with a larger radius than tongue 14, spring set B opens and closes before spring set A. Set A shunts the bell and set B shunts the transmission circuit. Specification 891,892 is referred to.
