412,843. Wire resistances; electric couplings. ADIE, K. S., 10, Bourton Road, Olton, Warwickshire. Nov. 23, 1933, No. 32713. [Classes 37 and 38 (i).] In a heating element for an electric fire, and having the ends of the resistance wire 12 connected to separate lugs 16 mounted on the element and carrying contact pins or sockets 25 whereby the element is both supported and connected to the supply mains, the pins 25 can be adjusted longitudinally along the part 24 of the lugs to enable the element to be used with plugs of various sizes. The lug may be provided with a slot 28 or a number of spaced holes so that the pin 25 may be screwed thereto by nuts 27 at various points along the part 24.
