Abstract
412,802. Casting machines. FRITZSCHE, C., 51, Sidonienstrasse, Leipsic, Germany. Sept. 12, 1933, No. 25256. [Class 83 (i).] Thin walled castings of metal or alloy, particularly for dental purposes are made by means of a centrifugal casting-machine operating in a vacuum. The machine may comprise a motor 4 driving a shaft 3 on which is an arm 6 carrying a counterweight 7 at one end and the casting-apparatus at the other, the casting- apparatus comprising an electrically heated mould 11 and crucible 10. The whole machine may be mounted within a chamber 1 which is then evacuated, or, if desired, the driving mechanism may be mounted outside the chamber and operate the casting-apparatus by means of a shaft passing through a gland in the chamber wall.
