411,614. Induction motors. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., 28, Kingsway, London, ROBERTS, L., and BALL, R. D., Phoenix Works, Bradford, Yorkshire. March 8, 1933, No. 7053. [Class 35.] An induction motor with phase-splitting condensers is provided with a condenser 3<a> permanently in series with the winding 2 and a starting condenser 3b connected to the winding through an autotransformer 5. A centrifugal switch 4 cuts out the condenser 3b when the motor has speeded up. The condensers 3<a>, 3<b> may be combined in a three-plate condenser.
