409,828. Piston apparatus for discharging receptacles. GRAHAM, A. J., 19, The College, Bromley, Kent. Dec. 23, 1932, No. 36537. [Class 102 (ii).] A container for pasty substances comprises a cylinder g sliding on a fixed head f, the contents being discharged through a passage i in the end cover h. The end of the passage is normally closed by the end of a spring-pressed lever q. The pasty substance is enclosed in a cartridge a, one end of which is closed by a piston c, while the other end is closed by a cap which is removed before insertion in the cylinder. The piston c is engaged by a disc l which rests on a resilient washer o and is carried by a rod m sliding in a guide n in the head f. The head is provided with venting holes s and may be carried by a bracket e, or may be operated by a handle.
