Abstract

500,020. Containers and applicators for shoe and like creams. STOY, W. June 29, 1938, No. 19263. [Class 125 (i)] A device for containing and applying shoe cream and the like comprises a cylindrical container a, and a piston g connected to a handle f provided with a pad or brush h which serves for shutting off the cream from the air and for applying it to shoes. The pad h may be used with a plate d perforated at the edges and resiliently engaging the sides of the cylinder a. The mouth of the container may be widened for facilitating entry of the piston g. In the form shown a part a<1> is threaded to the container and serves as a guide to the piston. The lower part a serves as a container for marketing the cream whereas the upper part can be used repeatedly. The parts may be made of glass, metal, or other transparent or opaque materials.
