Convention date, Nov. 10, 1932. [Class 120 (ii).] The drawing- rollers of spinning and like machines are weighted by a member 8 which is connected to a yoke 1 coupled to the saddle and is arranged in a slot in the beam 16, so that normally it transmits the effect of a weight 15 by pivoting about a shoulder 8<1> in contact with the beam, but may be lifted by a handle 10 to engage a shoulder 20 with the upper surface of the beam thereby relieving the weight. The weights of all the rollers may be relieved simultaneously by raising all the members 8 by means of eccentrics 13 on a shaft 12. When the weight is relieved the shoulder 9 engages the upper surface of the beam. The member 8 is connected to the yoke 1 by a coupling-piece 7 pivoted to the member at 6 and engaged with the yoke by means of a screw 4.
