Abstract

408,580. Ladders. WELLER, J., Old Vine Cottage, West Horsley, Surrey. Oct. 10, 1932, No. 28134. [Class 20 (ii).] A ladder is pro vided with side members which taper from the base to the upper end and with steps which lie between these side members and are progressively wide from bottom to top. The side members may be formed of bars A, B connected together by horizontals and diag onals C, D, respectively, each side member forming a lattice construction, and the steps E are secured between the side members and increase in width from base to top ; the bases may be provided with rubber pads. The ladder may be provided with a pivoted hand-rest F which, in the raised position, is secured by clips J. In the lowered position, the top cross-bar H of the hand-rest comes beneath a step of the ladder. For use as a step ladder, pivoted strut frames N, N are attached.
