407,081. Delivering measured quantities. SUTHERLAND, H. A., 24, McBean Street, Parkdale, and HOUGHTON, J. S., Ouyen, both in Victoria, Australia. Sept. 12, 1932, No. 25390. [Class 106 (v).] Moving chamber apparatus for granular materials.-In a tea-caddy &c. with bottom measuring-fitting and having an outlet at or above the level of its bottom edge so that it can stand evenly on a table &c., the guide 12 for the slidable measuring-member 9 is attached to the underside of the inset bottom 3, the apertures 4, 14 arranged out of alignment to cooperate with the measuring cavity 11 being formed respectively in the bottom 3 and the guide 12. The aperture 14 is surrounded by a depending spout 8 which may be carried by the guide 12 or, as shown, may be integral with a domed bottom 6 below what then becomes the false bottom 3. The measuring-slide may be a block of wood, as shown, or be built up of sheet metal.
