Abstract

915,467. Hopper discharge. THRELFALL, T. H. June 19, 1961 [July 23, 1960], No. 25730/60. Class 78 (1). Hopper 12 is provided with a discharge valve 15 operable by means of stem 16. When the operator wishes to discharge nails from hopper 12, he engages stem 16 with his hand and presses the valve upwards so that the nails fall into his hand. Any surplus nails are caught in tray 17 and the tray may be detached to pour the nails back into the hopper. The hopper is provided with a lid 14 and is secured by supports 11 to the back-plate 10 which may be detachably secured to a wall. Back-plate 10 carries tray 17 by means of support 18. Stem 16 may be adjustable in length and spout 13 may also be adjustable in length. Hopper 12 may be of leather, canvas, plastic or metal.
