Abstract

406,984. Feed rollers for wood-working machines. ROBINSON, F. B., and ROBINSON & SON, Ltd., T., Railway Works, Rochdale. Aug. 6, 1932, No. 22085. [Classes 145 (i) and 145 (ii).] Feed roller for sawing, planing, moulding &c. wood-working machines has a working face of soft vulcanized rubber mounted on a ring 14 of hard rubber vulcanized to a mild steel bush 13. The bush 13 is detachably mounted on a castiron boss 10 by friction or by key and slot, the boss 10 being mounted on the shaft 9 and connected thereto by key 11 secured by screw 12. A number of bushes 13 may be mounted direct on a shaft 16, Fig. 4, to form a long roller. The working face of the roller may be in the form of a pneumatic tyre.
