[Class 131.] A mask for the face consists of a continuous band of rubber or other elastic material, the edges of which are suitably reinforced. The reinforced edges may be formed by an increased thickness of the rubber or by folding over the edge of the band or by interposing a rubber strip between the folded edges. In the arrangement shown, a mask 6 with parallel edges is used for treatment of the forehead, and a mask 9 with divergent edges is used for the treatment of the throat and face, the widest portion 11 surrounding the chin 12 and throat 13. The band may be smooth or provided with projections.
