Abstract

535,103. Accordion-pleated blinds. PERSSON, E. S. Oct. 24, 1939, No. 28575. Convention date, Oct. 24, 1938. [Class 20 (iii)] [Also in Group XXII] An accordion - pleated blind has over each fold 3 a reinforcing metal strip 1 of U-cross section with the rounded part of a diameter greater than the minimum distance between the flexible limbs 2. To form the metal parts, a strip 10 is fed between rollers 4, 5 having a groove and peripheral ridge 13 respectively, the strip now formed as in Fig. 8 passing between pairs of rollers 7, 8, and 9 which close the limbs 2 over the folded edges 3 of the blind as in Fig. 1.
