Abstract

404,357. Fastenings. LIGHTNING FASTENERS, Ltd., Witton, Birmingham.- (Hookless Fastener Co. ; Meadville, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.) July 15, 1932, No. 20128. [Class 44.] Slider-clasp type.- The slider in this type of fastening is provided with a check device adapted to bear continuously against the fastener elements in all position of the slider to provide a limited resistance to its movement. The check device may, as shown, take the form of a ball 16 mounted centrally or on one side of the slider in a recess 17, and pressed outwards to bear against the fastener elements 9 by a spring 18. Alternatively, a blade spring with rounded end may be struck from, or attached to, the slider, to project and bear continuously against the fastener elements.
