July 8, 1932, No. 19387. Convention date, July 11, 1931. [Class 139.] The deviation of the timing of a clock controlling the frequency of an electrical network, from a standard clock, is indicated by a pointer coupled with the planet member of a differential mechanism, one side of which is driven by a synchronous motor connected to the network and the other side electromagnetically by the standard clock. The pointer b which indicates the deviation on a dial a having seconds scales for frequencies both higher and lower than normal, is connected to the planet wheel c, of a differential mechanism c, d, e, the sun wheels d, e being driven through gearing by a synchronous motor f, and by a known step-bystep mechanism g actuated each second by contact mechanism i at the standard clock h, respectively. Comparing clocks m, n driven respectively by the standard clock h and by the synchronous motor f are also provided.
