403,822. Guitars &c. RICHARDSON, E., 48, Portland Road, Nottingham. Jan. 31, 1933, No. 2971. Drawings to Specification. [Class 88 (ii).] A guitar having a tone-chamber with a single sound-hole is provided with two sets of strings which are arranged over separate fretted fingerboards and necks connected to a single head and yield different effects. One set is played as a Hawaiian guitar by means of a steel, the strings being set at a greater height above the finger board to prevent them being pressed into contact therewith, by making the corresponding nut and bridge of increased height. The bridges of the two sets may be made integral. Either set may be tuned to function as a banjo.
