403,410. Systems for transmitting mechanical power. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, ET CIE, Baden, Switzerland. March 18, 1932, No. 8085. Convention date, April 17, 1931. Drawings to Specification, [Class 38 (iv).] A ship driven by two or more propellers, the motors of which are supplied from groups of generators associated with Diesel-engines as described in Specification, 348,508, is reversed by de-exciting all the generators and connecting the bus-bars of the groups together, if they are not already so connected, reversing the phase connection to one motor and then re-exciting the generators. When this motor has attained its normal speed in the reverse direction, the same sequence of operations is performed for the other motors successively. Specification 398,495 also is referred to.
