Abstract

403,313. Automatic guns. STEVENS, A. H., 5, Quality Court, Chancery Lane, London.-(Colt's Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Co. ; Hartford, Connecticut, U.S.A.) June 23, 1933, No. 17957. [Class 92 (ii).] A sleeve 7 extending forwardly of the main casing 3 is adapted to accommodate barrelcooling jackets of different types. As shown, the sleeve is threaded externally to receive a water-cooling jacket 10 and internally to receive an air-cooling jacket 17. The jacket 10 is attached by means of an adaptor 11 which can be replaced by a gun mounting sleeve 19 when the internal threads are in use. The adaptor 11 and sleeve 19 may be retained by a readily releasable catch 4. Specifications 133,329, 133,351, 133,352, and 219,932, [all in Class 92 (ii), Ordnance &c.], are referred to.
