Abstract
402,518. Vehicle fittings for loading. LAKE, A. H., 88, Barrington Street, Tiverton, Devon. July 5, 1932, No. 18936. [Class 78 (iv).] A cattle truck, farm wagon, &c. is provided with a rear ramp a which is housed when not in use in guides g, h beneath the vehicle floor and may be pulled out and swung down about the outer end of the guides without detachment. The guides are spaced apart approximately the width of the longitudinal l of the chassis, and the ramp may have folding side portions c, d. As shown, the ramp is fitted with a pivoting bar f with the ends f<2>, f3 sliding in channel guides and abutting against stops at the outer ends of the guides. The ramp is also supported by rollers n on a shaft o journalled in the longitudinals l, and a pivoted retaining catch q is provided on the underside of the ramp to engage the bar o.
