Abstract
402,402. Sifting-apparatus. CAREY, W. F., Norton Hall, The Green, Norton-on- Tees, and IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd., Millbank, London. May 28, 1932, No. 15211. [Class 117.] In sifting-apparatus of the type which has a continuous horizontal gyratory movement combined with an intermittent vertical vibratory movement, one or a series of sieves 15 is secured by bars 16 and a clamp 17 to a table 1 which is connected by resilient strips 2 to an annular plate 3, supported by cranks 4, 5 on vertical shafts one of which is driven to impart the gyratory movement to the sieves. A bolt 10, with a head 14, depends from the table 1 and carries a spring pressed hammer piece 9 which engages with a stationary double cam 11, preferably disposed in an oil-bath 12.
