Abstract
401,969. Ornamental photographs. WILD, A., and WILD, O., 38, Kobachstrasse, Idar, Germany. April 21, 1933, No. 11671. Convention date, April 23, 1932. [Class 98 (ii).] Semi-precious stones such as agate, chalcedony, turquoise, and chrysoprase are treated with light-sensitive material which enters the pores of the stone, and photographs are reproduced thereon. The stone is cleaned with nitric acid, boiled to remove the acid, sensitized with a solution containing silver nitrate and lactic acid or with silver chloride or bromide by the usual precipitation method, exposed under a negative, washed, fixed in a bath of potassium cyanide and sodium sulphite, and washed again. When silver chloride or bromide is used, fixing is performed by alternately bathing the stone in the fixing bath and washing in water.
