[Class 52 (v).] A bracket for supporting flanged-section curtain rails, or for supporting valance rods from such curtain rails, comprises a member a, Fig. 1, with a slot j and a flange g adapted to engage beneath one flange of the I-rail, and a finger or catch m slidably connected to the member a by a set screw k and having a hook f<1> adapted to engage beneath the other flange of the rail, the finger or catch having a cam-like shoulder f<3> engaging a depression b on the member a to secure the parts when the screw k is tightened. The member a is bent at c<1>, c2, c<3> and provided with holes h, i for fixing screws. The set screw k slides in the slot and screws into the catch m which has side flanges f<2> embracing the member a. To insert the I-rail the set screw is loosened and the catch pulled out. Fig. 4 shows a bracket s bent at p to support a valance rod and adapted to grip the I-rail by a hook v and a sliding catch o' bent at u<1>. The bracket is slotted at q<2> and carries a set screw r engaging a slot q<1> in the sliding catch which has a handle t<1>, t<2> and a cam shoulder o; engaging a corresponding shoulder u<2> on the bracket to force the parts u', v on to the I-rail when the screw r is tightened.
