Abstract

401,242. Seals. CHIECCHIO, C., 6<bis>, Via Trana, Turin, Italy. July 18, 1933, No. 20268. Addition to 366,799. [Class 146 (ii).] The lead seal described in the parent Specification is modified in that one of the hard-metal rings is located within the seal head. The head 2 is provided on the same side as the stem 1 with an annular groove 8 in which a hard-metal ring 9 is embedded. An annular space 10 is provided between the ring and the stem so that when the seal is compressed, the other hard-metal ring 4, situated in a recess in the stem, is pressed. down within the ring 9, and the space 10 is filled in with lead in which the rope 7 is gripped.
