Abstract
400,145. Endless - belt conveyers. UNIVERSELLE CIGARETTENMASCHINEN FABRIK J. C. MULLER & CO., 48, Zwickauer Strasse, Dresden, Germany. June 30, 1933, No. 18636. Convention date, July 6,1932. [Class 78 (i).] Rod-like articles such as cigarettes are transferred from a continuously moving conveyer a, Fig. 1, to an adjacent parallel conveyer b by a comb-like pusher c which is reciprocated in guides f, f inclined to the conveyers. The pusher is mounted on one arm d<1> of a bell-crank lever pivoted at d in a cross-head e which is slidable on the guides f, f<1> and is driven by a lever g. A roller g<2> on the lever g runs in a groove in a cam disc h. The other arm d<2> of the bell-crank lever carries a roller d<3> which runs on a guide p attached to a yoke n. This yoke is supported from the machine frame by a pivoted link o, and is raised and lowered by the action of a cam disc b on a lever m. The conveyer a is provided with trough-like depressions a<1> to receive the articles. On the conveyer b, Fig. 3, the articles are carried by troughs b<1> which are flared at the receiving end.
