Abstract
399,613. Wringers. ACME WRINGERS, Ltd. and BURT, J. W., 97, David Street, Bridgeton, Glasgow. June 14, 1932, No. 16781. [Class 138 (ii).] In a folding wringer mounted on a cabinet so that it may be turned down into the horizontal position and be covered by a removable table top, the side rails of the cabinet are cut away to receive the driving spindle. As shown in Fig. 3, the wringer is mounted on a rod 5 fixed between the side rails 21, 31 of the cabinet, the wringer frames being fixed to brackets 7 e a c h formed with surfaces 31, 33 to engage the end and underface of an abutment 32 on the cabinet rail when the wringer is horizontal and upright respectively. Swivelled on the bracket is a clamp 29 adapted to be turned by a handle 35 so as to overlie the abutment to maintain the wringer vertical. An extension 28 of the clamp also serves to hold the table top when in position with the wringer in use. The rails 2<1>, 3<1> are cut away at 9 to receive the driving- shaft of the wringer when folded and also the flange of the table top.
