Abstract

399,253. Advertising-devices. QUINN, H. O., 151, Fleet Street, London. May 10, 1932, No. 13442. [Class 3 (ii).] An advertising- device comprises a sheet of paper, cardboard, &c. foldable into three portions which in the display position constitute a horizontal surface, a vertical surface and a vertical viewing frame, and at least one piece of paper, cardboard &c. attached to the sheet so that when the sheet is folded the said piece is accommodated between the overlapping portions thereof and when the sheet is unfolded the piece has imparted thereto an angular movement relative to the surface of the sheet, the said sheet and/or the said piece having advertising matter thereon. As shown in the Figure, the device comprises portions 1, 2, bearing advertising matter, and pieces 8, 9 shaped and printed to represent objects, the pieces being pivoted by flaps 10 to the portion 1 and connected to one another and to the portion 2 by links 13, the whole being seen through the portion 3 which is apertured to serve as a viewing frame. A portion 15, having a surface 16 which together with the surface 17 can be utilized for printing or writing may be secured to the portion 1, the said portion being provided with a tab 15<11> to which is applied adhesive to secure the parts in the folded position. Alternatively the tab may engage a slot in the part 15<1> of the portion 15. In a modification the pieces 8, 9 are replaced by a single sheet which is cut and folded so that sections thereof may take up positions corresponding with those of the pieces 8, 9. Stereoscopic viewing glasses may be associated with the frame 3.
